March 2021. Looking Forward, While Looking Back at Cuba during the Last Four years.

The pandemic has forced the human race to pause, reconsider, and recover, fingers crossed. I’m betting on science to build on what’s already in their arsenals to protect us all against the next threatening, stronger, new wave of COVID mutations

Early March 2020, I decided to walk from my place in Lisbon a few miles away to a restaurant for a final good-bye lunch with Darci, my new Portuguese bestie. .Last time we saw each other was almost a month ago, on Valentine’s Day.

Over the last few weeks,  I had started to notice posted regional cancellations and Covid Warning posters along the way in Portugal’s Parks and Government buildings, but it didn’t hit me until I saw the size of it that I thought was about the Cuban Doctors who would be dispatched worldwide to share their pandemic expertise.
